Choose a concrete leveling service by the problem

Leveling, lifting and polyjacking: what is the difference?
Concrete leveling, lifting and raising commonly describe restoring the elevation of an existing slab. They do not necessarily describe different repairs. Polyjacking describes a particular method using expanding polyurethane foam. Our foam leveling page explains that process; the method comparison helps you prepare questions for a contractor.
What should a contractor evaluate?
A useful assessment considers whether the slab can move as a unit, the condition of cracks and joints, adjacent fixed elevations and where water will flow afterward. Lifting an existing slab does not create a new surface or automatically solve the cause of settlement. Ask the contractor to explain whether lifting or replacement is appropriate for your particular area.
