Why concrete sinks
Loss of support can come from soil movement, erosion, poor compaction, voids, water, or changes around the slab.
Lift or replace?
If the slab is intact and the main problem is settlement, lifting may be worth considering. If the slab is badly deteriorated or the layout needs to change, replacement may be the better path.
Look at drainage too
A repair should not ignore water. Downspouts, grading, drains, irrigation, and runoff can all affect what happens beneath exterior concrete.
Start with good photos
Show the full slab, the uneven joint, surrounding concrete, and nearby drainage. This helps clarify what is moving and what remains fixed.
